Feedback on Water
"It smells to me of fir-tree. Aquatic tincture of fir needles. Enjoyable".
"Sun flares on the waves, algae draining in the sun and the boats, sun, the heat – everything is in there. It seems that you can hear the cries of seagulls, if it becomes quiet. Very realistic and meditative".
"Starting with co baked with lemon. Later fishy smell gets quiet but does not disappear, lemon and some subtile flowers stay longer. Maybe that's how the Little Mermaid smelled. Alien. That's why the Prince did not… And maybe the mute girl in «The Shape of Water» smelled this way, I forgot her name. Who was with the sea monster".
"The start is juicy green, a bit spicy. Mowed swamp herbs. Seeds of fennel covered with dew come next. Then the fragrance gets warmer and even bitter dry. I imagine the dried tarn flowers. In total the fragrance is changeable, it grows fresh and then dry and it shows well the fluctuative nature of the element of water. I won't try to name the notes, but, besides herbs I hear dried seeds and bitter mugwort and flowers of the fall".
«I give up, I can't name even approximately the combination of notes to make such paradoxical sounding. The only I can say is in the end of base notes it has some knd of resin, too. Spicy and sweet resin. Very spicy salty and metallic iodide start. When you clean the fresh fish, it smells alike. Maybe some kind of algae? And high umbrella plant like angelica, it grows here in Taiga – its top smels very similar, spicy and musky. In fact, this perfume starts of full immersion in the atmosphere of southern sea town – fisher ships full of fish and so on. Gets quieter closer to the base – very pleasant resins are left. A riddle of a perfume!»
«Starts with stunning strike of iodine and salt crystals. Instantly a question appears – how should one wear it? Not even wear but stand for some time. Very poisonous in the worst sense. I had the same feelings from a blotter with М/Mink by Byredo, but that fragrance finally sat on skin in peculiar way. As for this fragrance, it just calms down, sits on my wrist more comfortably and starts pickling fish there, using citrus. Maybe this is lemon juice, I'm not that good in cooking. Citrus and salty physicality covered with fish. Very abstract fish, not true flesh, but a metaphor of the fishy smell if somebody put its pieces on your skin.
As time goes by, the abstract fish image washes out so much it is hardly noticeable at all, and only something warm and tasty with salt and citrus is left. This feeling is rather pleasant, but all the same I can't imagine the mood I could wear this in, and it is not so good for me to want to wear it and inhale in the future.
Too much craft for me to call it the element. I recommend it a lot to the fans of salty physicality, cooking, fish and sudden olfactory impressions».

"Water. At first this water is very hot for me. Dragon's lair, a geyser. A lot of thick herbs, looks like someone has thrown freshly cut resinous fir branches in this font. And at the same time wide spreading leaves of some tropical trees. A lot of strong hot spice. Something woody. Not aquatic, dry fragrance. Smoky, like someone is birning incense. Wild fiery water. It is somehow fascinating. This fragrance is congenial to me, because my Element is Water. Exactly like this. Introversive fragrance, out of gender, more of manly nature. This is still water and somebody is definitely dwelling under its surface…" (Nina Novitskaya)
